International Couple | Mel and Jake's Destination Wedding in the White Mountains

Updated: Jun 6, 2023

Mel and Jake met just before lockdown hit the city of Los Angeles back in 2019. Mel, working on a visa from Australia, and Jake a transplant from the East Coast. The two shared an instant connection that was pushed into high gear when the news of COVID closed international travel and placed the city of LA into a ghost town existence. This otherwise anxious-ridden time was the catalyst for their love to grow unconditionally for one another. Skip forward to 2022, when the world has started to recover from the unprecedented pandemic of modern times. Mel and Jake can finally bring many friends and family members together to celebrate their love with an international affair to remember. Returning to Jake's childhood stomping grounds, they chose to host their stunning celebration at the rolling estate of Tamarack Tennis Camp. The camp set the stage with beautiful mountain views, small-town appeal, and a location with sentimental meaning to Jake's family. But before the serine ceremony commenced, the two began their wedding weekend with their welcome dinner at Cannon Mountain's legendary Peabody lodge, followed by wedding morning prep at the quintessential mountainside village of Mittersill.

With tremendous love and support from their family and friends, the two had one of the most memorable weddings of my 2022 season, full of heartfelt toasts, an international guest list, and gorgeous style. I hope you enjoy their blog gallery as much as I had documenting every authentic moment!
