Vermont Engagement Session | Melissa + Domenick
Engagement sessions are a great way to capture and celebrate your relationship before the wedding day and to get comfortable with your photographer and being in front of the camera.
My biggest suggestion for having a one-of-a-kind experience and stunning photos: it's essential to be part of the planning process with your photographer, and work with them to find out just what you are envisioning!
Here are 5 tips to ensure your shoot goes as smoothly as possible:
1. Dress to Impress: New England is known for its natural beauty and quaint towns – you want to make sure your outfits match the scenery. Opt for natural colors and styles, and dress for the season if you’re aiming for a specific look.
2. Play Music: Music is a great way to ease any of your pre-photo session jitters. Put together a romantic playlist or your favorite love songs to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
3. Bring Along Your Favorite Drink: Nothing quite says celebration like a bottle of bubbles! Pack a bottle of your favorite drink to share throughout your session.
4. Choose a Location with Some Privacy if You Want to Get Adventurous: If you want to get a little bit more daring during your session, choose a location with some privacy. This could be a hidden pathway, a secret beach, or an off-the-beaten-path spot – just make sure the site is open to the public, or you get a permit ahead of time!
5. Treat Your Session Like It’s a Date Night Out with Your Favorite Hype-Woman-Third Wheel : You’re already in a great setting – why not make it a date night out by going for a romantic or fun adventure? With me there to capture every moment, it’s like you have the world’s best hype-woman-third wheel with you all evening.
At the end of the day, planning an engagement session that reflects you and your partner’s unique personalities is key. With any of these tips in mind, you can trust that your session will be nothing short of magic!
